Aerosoft’s Venice X 1.0 is a virtual reality scenery program add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, compatible with FSX Service Packs 1 and 2.
Users can integrate this program into SFX to simulate 3D landing and exploration by air of the islands city of Venice, its buildings, two airports and canals, and the island of San Nicolo. Virtual helicopters, light aircraft, and even Vaporettos are included ensuring an interesting experience.

The program performs at 20 frames per second and its Global Texture settings feature ensures authentic, detailed scenic views of 3D objects such as bridges, houses, boats, and the Grand Canal. For distance views, the program features Detail Resolution. Views of the terrain are controlled by the Mesh Resolution feature. All the buildings of the real Venice are featured, including well-known buildings and churches, with realistic sounds of bells and birds and other sounds, giving users the benefit of an experience of realism.

Water features add reflection, and the program allows for control of the sky with its Cloud Draw, and Cloud Detail features, involving users in the creation of the scenery. The user is supported by Aerosoft ‘s provision of a PDF Manual, available for download in English, French, German, and Italian. The manual includes all the maps and charts users need for navigation of their simulated flights. Extra, fully designed crafts for travel can be downloaded from the SFX website. Aerosoft offers further support for users on their Venice X 1.0 website.
